1.’Doctor Strange’

What is a better film to watch prior to that sequel is the original “Doctor Strange” film? The 2016 film, accessible to stream through Disney+, tells the tale of Stephen Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) who is a brilliant neurosurgeon, who is self-involved. and is devastated when his hands have been damaged by an accident in the car. In a bid to recover from injury, Strange travels to Nepal to learn about mystic art and discovers his full potential as a magician. In the debut “Doctor Strange” film we watch Strange begin his journey towards becoming an iconic hero from the Avengers. Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor co-star.

2.’WandaVision’

Marvel’s very first official canonical TV series is certainly worth a to watch prior to “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.” It’s because, for one Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff is a prominent actor in the new film and, secondly the reason is that “WandaVision” helps sets the scene in the “Multiverse of Madness.”

In “WandaVision,” streaming exclusively on Disney+, Wanda and her friend, Vision (played by Paul Bettany) perform to navigate through decades of television-based sitcom clichés as they raise twins in a seemingly idyllic suburban paradise. As every episode unfolds, Wanda and those around her start to realize that there’s something amiss with what it appears.

3.’Spider-Man: No Way Home’

As you prepare in the lead-up to “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” you’re certain to want to go to the premiere film to completely examine all aspects of the MCU multiverse. It was released in 2021 and currently playing on a myriad of screens across the country, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” begins immediately following the events in 2019’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home.” Peter Parker (played by Tom Holland) has been accused of murder and has had his true identity revealed in the public domain.

Peter requests Doctor Strange to cast a spell that will make all around the globe forget Peter is Spider-Man However, the spell is shattered. Then, the iconic characters and even heroes from the MCU’s prequel “Spider-Man” movies pop up and offer an extremely satisfying fan-service scene. It’s worth noting that “No Way Home” is still at the theater. It is also available for purchase or rent from or rent fromAmazon’s Prime Video.

4.’Captain America: The First Avenger

In the latter part of April, an ad on TV in the late April episode of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” included an apparent image that showed Peggy Carter’s Union Jack shield from the comics (and an episode of “What If …”). The commercial sparked speculation that the Carter character would be a part of the upcoming film.

So prior to seeing “Multiverse of Madness,” it’s likely to be a good idea to refresh your knowledge of Peggy Carter. The best starting point would be “Captain America: The First Avenger.” The 2011 film is its first MCU appearance by Carter (played by Hayley Atwell) -and it’s true, there’s also Captain America (played by Chris Evans). “Captain America: The First Avenger” is available for streaming through Disney+.
