The COVID 19 pandemic has had a greater impact on the Bollywood film industry across the globe. Cinemas and movie theatres have been closed, the new film releases have been postponed to future dates or delayed indefinitely. Now OTT platforms come to the business and releasing many movies and web series.

Sushant Singh Rajput’ Dil Bechara

Dil Bechara is the official remake of Hollywood romantic drama ‘the fault in our stars’. Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and newcomer Sanjana Sanghi is the leading pair the film. It will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on July 24th.

 

Abhishek Bachchan’s Breathe: Into the shadows

‘Breathe: Into the shadows’ is the famous web series, which features actor Amit Shah as Inspector Kabir Sawant. Now Abhishek Bachchan joined the web series and this is the digital debut for him. It also features South actress Nithya Menon. This series will stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 10th.

Samantha Akkineni in ‘ The Family Man 2’

Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpai impressed everyone with his performance in the first season of ‘The Family Man’. Now South star actress Samantha Akkineni joins him to return in ‘The Family Man 2’. This time it will surely grab the audience’s attention. This famous series will stream soon on Amazon Prime Video.

Vidya Balan’s ‘Shakuntala Devi’

Shakuntala Devi is known for her incredible complex calculations within seconds. She is an inspiration to many students. Vidya Balan is playing ‘Shakuntala Devi’ in Maths Genius biopic. This film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

 

Saif Ali Khan in ‘Dilli’

Bollywood director Ali Abbas Zafar directorial venture ‘Dilli’, which revolves around the dark side of Indian politics. Saif Ali Khan is playing a pivotal role in this series. It will stream soon on Amazon Prime Video.

 

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl

This film is inspired by the life events of Indian Air force combat pilot Gunjan Saxena. Bollywood Star kid Jhanvi Kapoor is essaying the titular role. The movie has the backdrop of the 1999 Kargil War. It will premiere on Netflix.

Along with all these big films, there are few films that also preferred the OTT platform. Swara Bhaskar’s ‘Rasbhari’, Raima Sen’s ‘The Last hour’ series, ‘Mumbai dairies 26/11’ series are all set to stream on Amazon Prime video, while Aftab Shivdasani’s ‘Poison: 2’ will stream on ZEE5.
