The announcement is official! KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash will get a solo release as makers of Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur has once again delayed the film. The sports drama will now debut on April 22 to make way for the K.G.F sequel, which will hit stores on April 14.

Popular Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed through this Twitter handle, “#Xclusiv… BREAKING NEWS… #Jersey POSTPONED by one week… Will arrive in *cinemas* on 22 April 2022… The stakeholders arrived at the decision late last night.”, he tweeted.

The remake of Nani’s film with the same name, starring Shahid Kapoor, has once again been postponed. It was originally scheduled for December 2021 release. The film was postponed until the makers announced April 14, 2022, as the release date because of the pandemic. The movie will now open on April 22 to avoid clashing with the much-anticipated sequel starring Kannada superstar Yash.

Jersey is a story of the human spirit and a celebration of an underdog’s triumph. Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapur, and Ronit Kamra star in the film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, presented by Allu Arvind, and produced by Dil Raju, S. Naga Vamsi & Aman Gill.
